Athens Metro Line 4, Section A (Alsos Veikou – Goudi)
First section of Athens Metro Line 4, a driverless line under construction from Alsos Veikou in Galatsi through Kypseli, Exarcheia and Kolonaki to Goudi in Zografou: 12.8 km with 15 underground stations, with interchanges to Line 2 at Akadimia and to Line 3 at Evangelismos. Attiko Metro (now Elliniko Metro) signed the design-and-build contract with AVAX, Ghella and Alstom on 22 June 2021 for €1,158 million excluding VAT, including 20 automated trains. The original deadline of 20 June 2029 was extended in February 2026 to 3 September 2032, a date the contractor disputes. It is the first of five planned sections of a 38.2 km, 35-station U-shaped line.

GDP per capita is for NUTS 3 region EL303 Kentrikos Tomeas Athinon, the Central Athens regional unit: the municipality plus seven neighbouring ones, 1,002,212 people at the same census. The GDP figure is therefore spread over about 56% more people than the population field counts. Eurostat flags the 2023 value as provisional.
