Umeå–Skellefteå

Length measured from OpenStreetMap geometry. The OSM route relation is continuous from Umeå to Skellefteå and measures about 129.68 km. Trafikverket gives the overall Norrbotniabanan length as 270 km from Umeå to Luleå. Its current Umeå page gives Umeå–Dåva as 12 km, while a 2025 supplier presentation rounds it to 1 Swedish mil (10 km); the same presentation gives Dåva–Skellefteå as 12 mil (120 km). These are rounded phase figures, so the mapped OSM line length is retained. Trafikverket targets initial freight traffic on Umeå–Dåva in 2026, reports construction underway on Dåva–Skellefteå in 2026, and targets traffic on the full Umeå–Skellefteå section in 2036. The Skellefteå–Luleå section is excluded because it remains in planning.
