Dugo Selo – Križevci – Koprivnica – Hungarian border railway (M201, second track)

Works contract signed 29 April 2016 with the DIV GRUPA d.o.o., DALEKOVOD d.d. and ZAGREB-MONTAŽA d.o.o. consortium for EUR 164.6 million (VAT basis not stated); supervision contract EUR 2.5 million, ended November 2021. The page states 38.2 km for the section and 36.4 km of second track (38.23 km with the Dugo Selo station rebuilt). The EU grant eligibility period for phase I runs from January 2012 to December 2016, which is not the construction start, so no start date is recorded. In February 2026 HŽ Infrastruktura said the new track was fully laid and connected at the end of 2025 and trains already ran on both tracks between Vrbovec and Križevci. Dual-track operation Dugo Selo – Vrbovec was expected in April 2026 and the remaining works, concentrated in Dugo Selo station, were planned for completion in the second half of 2026. The press put the section at about EUR 200 million.

Works contract signed 12 March 2020 with Cengiz İnşaat for EUR 320.9 million (VAT basis not stated); supervision contract EUR 5.3 million signed 23 March 2020. The CEF grant agreement (EUR 283.9 million) covers project management, land, works and supervision, so it is not the works price. The contract term was three and a half years (about 42 months), which put completion at the end of 2023. HŽ Infrastruktura now gives the end of 2026 for all works, with about 90 percent done in December 2025; local press expects the first half of 2027. The new double-track section follows the existing alignment except Carevdar – Lepavina, and shortens the section from 43.2 km to 42.6 km.
