Vidin – Montana Motorway
A 95.43 km motorway in northwestern Bulgaria, from the junction with Danube Bridge 2 at Vidin to the Montana bypass, along the I-1 (E79) corridor. It is built in six lots. Makresh – Bela opened on 5 March 2024; Vidin – Makresh and Bela – Ruzhintsi are under construction, and the other three lots have been assigned to the state company Avtomagistrali EAD. As of 2025 the road has no official name or number.

The works tender was terminated on 1 June 2020 and construction was assigned directly to the state company Avtomagistrali EAD on 2 October 2020 (in-house procedure). Opened to traffic on 5 March 2024; the National Construction Control Directorate issued the use permit on 30 May 2024. | Bela – Ruzhintsi (Lot 3) Km 47+000 to km 58+128 (Ruzhintsi junction). Construction was assigned directly to Avtomagistrali EAD on 2 October 2020. The Road Infrastructure Agency page (archived 13 June 2024) records an act of 31 October 2023 on the state of the works on suspension of construction. The supervision contract was ended and a new supervisor, Nadzor Sever DZZD, was contracted on 20 December 2024. The exit table on bg.wikipedia marks the section as partially in operation; no source states which part.
