A52 Amvrakia Odos (Aktio – Amvrakia)

First section to open, about ten years after construction began in July 2009. It starts about 1.5 km beyond the Aktio – Preveza underwater artery and ends near the Vonitsa (Palairos) interchange, completing half of the Vonitsa bypass. Ypodomes gave it as 15 km in 2019 and 14 km in 2022. The contractor of this earlier contract is not named in the sources found.

Last section under construction in July 2022. Works at Drymos (km 27+000 to 27+850) held up the final handover into early 2024 because of ancient finds. The 30-month construction period is that of the whole end-2020 contract with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, counted from signing. Ypodomes gives the budget of the whole Aktio – Amvrakia axis as EUR 160 million in 2024 and its initial cost as EUR 150 million in 2022. A small stretch near Aktio opened with this section and is not drawn. Length measured from OpenStreetMap geometry; the sources give no figure for this section.

Amfilochia bypass through mountainous terrain, from the Loutraki interchange to the Amvrakia interchange with the A5, cutting about 15 km from the route through Amfilochia and Drymos. The 30-month construction period is that of the whole end-2020 contract, counted from signing. Delivered five months ahead of the contract deadline; first site work began in early spring 2021. Ypodomes dates its report 22 July 2022, so the opening is recorded to the month. An option for a link of about 400 m to the Ionia Odos (EUR 6.35 million) was activated and completed. The drawn line ends where the A52 meets the A5 and does not overlap lot kouvaras-amfilochia of the A5.
