A8 Olympia Odos Motorway

From the Elefsina–Thiva interchange to the Ancient Corinth interchange. National Road 8A, converted to a motorway from the mid-1980s; Greek Wikipedia dates completion to 1995, when only a stretch near Megara (km 44–48) still lacked a central reservation. The Kakia Skala realignment with five tunnels was built from 1999: the carriageway from Athens towards Corinth opened before summer 2004 and the Corinth to Athens carriageway on 30 June 2006. Refurbished by the concessionaire from 2008.

First completed section of the Corinth – Patras rebuild, with the Zevgolatio and Kiato interchanges. Works on Corinth – Patras began in 2008, stopped in 2010–2011 over financing and restarted in 2013 (Greek Wikipedia).

From the Kiato interchange to the Xylokastro interchange, 14 km with one interchange.

From the Xylokastro interchange to the K1 interchange of the Patras bypass at Rio, where the A8 meets the A5. Length derived: the concessionaire's 120 km for Corinth – Patras less 20 km and 14 km for the two earlier sections; ypodomes.com gave about 90 km in February 2017. Includes the Panagopoula tunnel, 3,179 m towards Patras and 4,033 m towards Athens.

From the first interchange (K1) at Rio to the last (K7) at Mintilogli. Works began in early 1982; a part inaugurated in 1993 had to be rebuilt over defects. Inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 19 December 2002 while link roads were still missing; Greek Wikipedia gives 2003 for completion. Carries the A5 number; refurbished by the Olympia Odos concessionaire from 2008.

From the Mintilogli semi-interchange (km 0+000) at the end of the Patras bypass to Kaminia, about km 10; sources also call it Mintilogli – Alissos (the Alissos semi-interchange is at km 12+725). Built by widening the existing national road under traffic, as part of AVAX's Mintilogli – Karaiika contract. Budget for all of Patras – Pyrgos: 295 million euro, and 385 million euro spent including supplementary works; the concessionaire gives a construction cost of 331 million euro. None is split per lot.

From Kaminia, about km 10, to the Pyrgos interchange (km 73+843), with the Kato Achaia, Varda, Kyllini, Gastouni and Amaliada interchanges. Mostly on a new alignment through the Ilida valley. Inaugurated on 31 July 2025 and open to traffic from noon on 1 August 2025. Works were split AVAX (Mintilogli – Karaiika), Aktor (Karaiika – Gastouni) and TERNA (Gastouni – Pyrgos).
