A27 Kozani – Ptolemaida – Florina – Niki

Vertical axis 50 of the Egnatia Odos, from the A2 at Kozani by way of Ptolemaida and Florina to the border crossing with North Macedonia at Niki, about 78.5 km in all. Only the Florina – Niki motorway section (14.5 km, opened 20 May 2016) is recorded as a lot here. Kozani – Ptolemaida is also a motorway, but the sources give no length or opening date for it, so it is not drawn. Ptolemaida – Florina runs as an expressway and is planned for upgrade to a motorway; no source gives the extent of the upgrade.

Florina – Niki

Four-lane road with a 17 m cross section, central reserve and two interchanges (Florina and Kato Klines – Ano Kalliniki) plus an intersection at Niki, per Egnatia Odos. Construction start is given as 2013 by English Wikipedia and as 2012 by Greek Wikipedia; Egnatia Odos announced on 29 November 2011 that the construction contract had been positively evaluated by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economic Affairs (22 November 2011), and expected works to begin in the first quarter of 2012. Egnatia Odos expected the AKTOR ATE – TERNA – MOCHLOS joint venture to build it; no later source confirms the contract, so no contractor is recorded. Length 14.5 km is the sourced figure; the OSM line drawn from the Florina interchange to Niki measures about 13.5 km.
