S2 expressway (Południowa Obwodnica Warszawy: Konotopa – Puławska – Lubelska)

Southern bypass of Warsaw between the A2 junction at Konotopa and the Lubelska junction with A2 and S17, about 34 km, drawn as one carriageway from OpenStreetMap ways with ref S2. It is split by contract: Konotopa – Warszawa Lotnisko and Warszawa Lotnisko – Puławska (opened in 2013), then the three Puławska – Lubelska design-build contracts, opened in December 2020 (Wilanów – Lubelska) and December 2021 (Puławska – Wilanów, with the 2.3 km Ursynów tunnel). The tunnel is part of lot A, so it is recorded in that lot's profile and note and not as a separate structure. The S79 link from Warszawa Lotnisko to Marynarska and the S8 and S17 roads that meet the bypass are separate projects and are not drawn here. Contract values come from GDDKiA pages; each lot note states the VAT basis where the page gives one.

Konotopa – Warszawa Lotnisko

The contract (stage III of the task) runs from the Konotopa junction (excluded) to the Lotnisko junction (excluded), chainage km 455+550 – 466+684, which is the 11.13 km recorded here. The drawn line is 12.7 km because it runs from the Konotopa to the Warszawa Lotnisko junction nodes and so includes both junctions. The 908 010 832 PLN (brutto) is the total value of the stage III works on the GDDKiA project page, which gives no signing date; the 9 February 2010 date is the result of the repeated tender, where pl.wikipedia gives an offer of 908 050 715.86 zł. pl.wikipedia lists the openings as 6 km and 7 km. The S8 project draws Konotopa – Powązkowska on the S8, north of this lot, so the two geometries do not overlap; they meet only at the Konotopa and Opacz junctions.

Warszawa Lotnisko – Puławska

The 2009 contract covered 3.9 km counted with the Warszawa Lotnisko junction roads, plus a 4.3 km link to Marynarska on the S79, which is not part of this project; the cost, planned at 1.123 bn zł, covers both and is not recorded here. OpenStreetMap has no single node for the Puławska junction, only two R12 ramp nodes about 1.7 km apart, so the lot ends midway between them.

Puławska – Warszawa Wilanów (Przyczółkowa), with the Ursynów tunnel (lot A)

Lot A of the Puławska – Lubelska task, called Przyczółkowa at tender and Warszawa Wilanów at opening. The twin-tube Ursynów tunnel is 2 335 m long (GDDKiA: the longest road tunnel in Poland at opening) and lies inside this lot, so it is recorded here in the profile and not as a separate structure. GDDKiA gives the investment at about 1.66 bn zł (design, land, works and supervision) and the works alone at about 1.2 bn zł. The drawn centreline is 7% longer than the sourced 4.6 km; the sourced length is kept.

The GDDKiA project page dates the opening of this lot to 10 December 2020 and 22 December 2020; the Wilanów – Lubelska opening is recorded here as 22 December 2020. The drawn centreline is 5% shorter than the sourced 6.5 km; the sourced length is kept.

Wał Miedzeszyński – Lubelska (lot C)

Lot C. Four viaducts carry the road through the Mazowiecki Landscape Park (GDDKiA project page). GDDKiA's project page records this lot as handed over on 21 December 2020; the opening to traffic is dated 22 December 2020. The drawn line ends at the Lubelska junction at 21.271445 E, 52.198571 N, where the S17 lot Zakręt – Lubelska ends (a few tens of metres apart) and the A2 geometry starts further east, so the three do not overlap. The drawn centreline is 9% longer than the sourced 7.5 km; the sourced length is kept.
