S7 expressway (Gdańsk – Elbląg – Warszawa – Radom – Kielce – Kraków – Rabka)
Poland's longest north–south expressway, from Gdańsk to Rabka-Zdrój, drawn as one carriageway from OpenStreetMap relation 112778. Much of it follows the former DK7 corridor, and several lots are rebuilds of that road to expressway standard (Elbląg bypass, Miłomłyn bypass, Szydłowiec bypass, Kielce bypass, Płońsk bypass, Zakroczym – Czosnów, Czosnów – Kiełpin) rather than new roads, so an upgrade date is not a new-build opening. Lots cover the sections opened since 2005 or under construction, grouped by contract and split wherever the parts opened in different years, so each lot carries its own opening date; a lot whose parts opened within one year carries the date of its last part, with the earlier openings listed as events. Not drawn: Kiełpin – Warszawa (design stage), the Warszawa stretch carried by S2 and S8, Głuchów – Radom Północ (older sections), Mistrzejowice – Nowa Huta and the Nowa Huta – Bieżanów eastern ring road of Kraków, Myślenice – Lubień, and the planned Kraków – Myślenice and Rabka – Chyżne sections. Contract values come from GDDKiA pages and pl.wikipedia; each note states the VAT basis where the source gives one and says so where it does not.

| Ostróda Północ – Ostróda Południe – Rychnowo – Olsztynek Zachód Sum of three sections (9.7 + 8.8 + 11.2 km), all opened in 2017. Ostróda Północ – Południe: Budimex with Ferrovial Agroman, signed on 15 June 2015 for 1.3 bn PLN (pl.wikipedia, GDDKiA); that contract also covers the 8.7 km Ostróda bypass on DK16, so it is not recorded as the cost of this lot. Its last structure, the Niepodległości bridge over the Pauzeński canal, opened on 20 June 2018. Ostróda Południe – Rychnowo: Strabag Infrastruktura Południe (formerly Heilit+Woerner), 299.2 million PLN. Rychnowo – Olsztynek Zachód: Strabag, 388.5 million PLN. | Olsztynek Zachód – Grunwald – Nidzica Północ GDDKiA gives 31.3 km of expressway for the contract (3 km of S7 opened on 29 September 2012 plus 28.3 km, pl.wikipedia). The contract value was over 1.185 bn PLN, but it also covers the 5.7 km Olsztynek bypass on S51, so it is not recorded as the cost of this lot. Junctions Olsztynek Wschód, Olsztynek Zachód, Grunwald, Waplewo and Rączki. The drawn centreline is 17% shorter than 31.3 km: it runs between the OpenStreetMap junction nodes Olsztynek Zachód and Nidzica Północ (the GDDKiA chainage km 175+800 to 203+600 is 27.8 km). | Opened | 31 km |

The drawn centreline is 20% shorter than the sourced 22.7 km: the sourced lengths run beyond the junction nodes at both ends (GDDKiA chainage km 203+500 to 225+100 is 21.6 km). | Opened | 23 km |

GDDKiA states 34 months for each contract and gives the contract amounts without a VAT basis; pl.wikipedia rounds two of them to 294.8 and 446.2. Lengths are 35.5 km (Napierki – Strzegowo) and 35.7 km (Strzegowo – Płońsk). The drawn centreline runs from Napierki to Płońsk Północ. | Opened | 71 km |

| Płońsk Południe – Załuski – Modlin – Czosnów Three design-build contracts: Płońsk Południe (Siedlin) – Załuski (12.9 km), Załuski – Modlin (12 km) and Modlin – Czosnów (9.7 km). Modlin – Czosnów was signed on 12 May 2020 with Budimex for about 598.8 million PLN (VAT basis not stated), 36 months, and is rebuilt in place of DK7 with three lanes per direction; the sources read do not name the contractors of the other two contracts, so none is recorded for them, and no lot total is recorded. Between Zakroczym and Czosnów (14.6 km) the former expressway, opened as 2x2 on 16 June 1990, was widened to two carriageways of three lanes. The ZRID for Siedlin – Załuski was issued on 2 May 2023. The drawn centreline ends where OpenStreetMap stops tagging the road as S7, 4% shorter than the sourced 34.6 km. | Opened | 35 km |

| Czosnów – Kiełpin Design-build contract signed on 16 November 2023 with a consortium of Fabe Polska (leader), SP Sine Midas Stroy (Kazakhstan) and Yörük Yapı İnşaat (Turkey), 536.3 million PLN, 36 months from signing with winter periods (16 December to 15 March) not counted. The existing two-lane dual carriageway DK7 becomes an expressway with three lanes plus a hard shoulder in each direction, with junctions Czosnów, Palmiry and Sadowa. The ZRID permits for sections A and B were issued on 11 March 2026 and the site of section A was handed over on 16 March 2026. The GDDKiA project site still gives May 2027 as the planned end (17 months were allowed for design and ZRID, which came about a year later) and reported works progress of 7.47% in October 2026; pl.wikipedia gives May 2028 without an official source, so no expected opening is recorded. The road is built in place of DK7: OpenStreetMap has no separate S7 alignment here (some DK7 ways carry highway=construction, ref 7), so the drawn centreline follows the existing DK7. It is 30% longer than the sourced 9 km because it starts where OpenStreetMap stops tagging S7 near Czosnów and ends where the proposed Kiełpin – Warszawa S7 begins. | Under construction 35 of 36 contracted months | 9 km |

| Lubień – Naprawa 7.6 km (7.5 km in the 2016 GDDKiA announcement), about 24% of it on structures and 49% in cuttings. Gross (brutto) contract value at signing: 521.52 million PLN (IDS-Bud with Altis-Holding, terminated); the replacement contracts were about 42.2 million (TBM, viaduct) and over 74.5 million PLN (Strabag, right carriageway, VAT basis not stated). A landslide halted work on the right carriageway and GDDKiA terminated the IDS-Bud contract on 17 July 2020; replacement contracts followed on 1 September 2020 (TBM) and 22 December 2020 (Strabag). The lot is shown as opened when traffic first ran over the whole length on one carriageway (20 December 2019); the second carriageway opened on 30 November 2021. The road ends at Naprawa and joins the Naprawa – Skomielna Biała tunnel section. The drawn centreline starts 2.4 km after the Lubień junction node: the sourced section lengths (7.6 + 3.1 km) place the start there, and the first kilometres from the node belong to the Lubień bypass opened in 2009, which is not drawn. | Opened | 8 km |

The planned 54 months ran to the end of 2020, then to autumn 2021, and neither date was met (pl.wikipedia). Gross contract value at signing 968.84 million PLN (Astaldi). About 8 km of the 15.9 km Lubień – Rabka main line is on viaducts, bridges and in the tunnel. The tunnel is recorded as a profile figure, not as a separate lot.
