A2 Miloš Veliki Motorway (Belgrade – Požega)

The A2 «Miloš Veliki» motorway on European route E763, running south-west from Belgrade at Surčin through Obrenovac, Ub, Lajkovac and Ljig to Preljina near Čačak, then west through Lučani to Požega, opened section by section between 2016 and 2025. Section lengths here are the figures published by JP Putevi Srbije and the ministry rather than measurements off the mapped alignment: the Lajkovac–Ljig contract boundary sits about 3 km from the Ljig interchange used to cut the geometry, though the Lajkovac–Preljina total agrees to within 600 m. The 7.9 km Novi Beograd – Surčin road that links the city to the motorway (opened 1 April 2023) is a state road designed for 80 km/h with at-grade junctions, so it is not recorded here. Nor is the Požega–Boljare extension to the Montenegrin border (about 107 km): a contract for design and works on Požega–Duga Poljana (75 km) was signed on 26 December 2021, but the ministry says works can be contracted only once design and financing are in place, and the route still awaits its spatial plan.

Preparatory works officially started on 29 July 2010. Main works were held up by unfinished expropriation (B92, October 2010). The 11th annex was signed in June 2014, with completion due on 27 November 2014. At completion the minister put additional works at RSD 1 billion and the average cost at EUR 6 million per km (B92, December 2014). Works finished on 30 November 2014; the section opened to traffic on 18 August 2019 with the rest of the motorway.

Lajkovac – Ljig

Commercial contract for the Obrenovac – Ljig sector signed in May 2013: 10 May per AutoZona, 13 May per the ministry, whose page prints the year as 2023. Preparatory works for the sector were officially started on 24 December 2013 at Dići, near Ljig.

Opened on 30 January 2022 (ministry). Part of the 30.9 km Preljina – Požega commercial contract with CCCC, signed on 27 November 2017. The ministry dates the start of works to July 2020; Tanjug (July 2025) says the road was built from May 2019. Length 11.4 km per the ministry; the geometry, cut at the Preljina and Pakovraće interchanges, measures 12.5 km.

Pakovraće – Požega

Opened to traffic at 12:00 on 6 July 2025, the day after the official ceremony (JP Putevi Srbije, via Tanjug). Carries the Laz (2,840 m) and Munjino Brdo (2,755 m) tunnels, the longest road tunnels in Serbia, and ends at the Prilipac interchange near Požega. The ministry dates the start of works on Preljina – Požega to July 2020; Tanjug says this section was built from May 2019. Length 19.56 km per Tanjug, of 30.96 km for Preljina – Požega; the geometry, cut at the Pakovraće and Prilipac interchanges, measures 17.7 km.
