Pernik – Radomir railway modernisation
Modernisation of the Pernik – Radomir section of the Sofia – Pernik – Radomir railway, part of Corridor VIII. The project provides a double line for speeds up to 160 km/h, renewal of station tracks and removal of all level crossings. On 22 December 2025 the National Railway Infrastructure Company ranked DZZD ISPA first at BGN 421.28 million excluding VAT, with completion by mid-2029.
