Thessaloniki – Idomeni railway
Single-track electrified line from Thessaloniki north along the Axios valley to Idomeni on the North Macedonia border, the Idomeni branch of the PATHE axis. ERGOSE manages two works: the new Polykastro – Idomeni alignment of about 21 km, under construction since 2007, and a signalling and ETCS level 1 contract covering the whole 70.5 km line, signed in March 2022. The signalling lot is drawn and counted only for Thessaloniki – Polykastro, so that the alignment is not counted twice. The existing line is not recorded as a lot of its own. The Athens – Thessaloniki works end at Leptokarya and do not overlap this line.

| Polykastro – Idomeni new alignment New electrified alignment between Polykastro and Idomeni of about 21 km, with a new Polykastro station, a renovated Idomeni station and the new Mikro Dasos stop, design speed 160 km/h. The formation allows a double standard-gauge track, but a single track is laid for now. ERGOSE gives construction start as 2007, a cost of EUR 113 million and completion in 2024, and its page of 30 January 2024 lists the work as in progress. Greek Wikipedia says the alignment of 20.60 km has been built, with no opening date, and expects signalling and ETCS to be completed in 2027; no source dating an opening was found, so the lot is not recorded as opened. The signalling contract also covers this alignment; its kilometres are counted here, not in the signalling lot. The drawn line starts at the new Polykastro station and is carried in OpenStreetMap partly as track under construction. | Under construction | 21 km |

| Thessaloniki – Polykastro signalling and ETCS level 1 Length measured from OpenStreetMap geometry. The contract covers signalling and ETCS level 1 on the whole single line Thessaloniki – Idomeni, 70.5 km, including the new Polykastro – Idomeni alignment held by the other lot, which is why only Thessaloniki – Polykastro is drawn and counted here. It also covers replacement of 37 turnouts, 4 new turnouts, and track and electrification of a 2.2 km bypass line at Mikro Dasos. It is signalling and electrification of a bypass line, not new track. ERGOSE signed the contract on 11 March 2022 with the AVAX – Alstom consortium at EUR 40,973,034.12 excluding VAT; its project page gives EUR 40.86 million excluding VAT, construction start 2022 and planned completion 2025, and lists the work as in progress (page dated 10 November 2022). Greek Wikipedia expects signalling and ETCS to be completed in 2027. | Under construction | 52 km |
