Thessaloniki Flyover (Eastern Inner Ring Road upgrade, K5 – K12)
Public-private partnership upgrade of the eastern Inner Ring Road (Periferiaki) of Thessaloniki between junctions K5 and K12: about 13 km of rebuilt and widened road, an elevated expressway, nine grade-separated interchanges and new bridges and tunnels. The contract was signed on 19 December 2022 with a budget of €373.2 million (excluding VAT per later press) and four years of construction. In April 2026 progress was reported above 50%, with delivery targeted for spring 2027.

The PPP documents give 13 km; the contractor's presentation, quoted on 22 April 2026, gives 12 km of works, 9 grade-separated interchanges, 7.6 km of elevated avenue including its access ramps, 4 km of rapid-traffic bridge, 9 bridges, 2 covered structures and 1 tunnel. At signing the elevated road was given as 4 km, with 10 new bridges and 3 new tunnels. The construction duration is four years; no construction start date was found. Press reports give May 2027 for completion; the source calls the secure schedule 'spring 2027'. The contractor and concessionaire are not named in the sources found.
