M85 expressway (Győr – Csorna – Sopron – Austrian border)
Expressway from the M1 at Győr through Csorna and Kapuvár to Sopron and the Austrian border, built in sections from 2009. Eleven lots follow the opened sections: the Enese bypass (2011), Győr – Kóny (2015), Kóny – Csorna-dél (2015), the second Csorna bypass phase (2017), the three contract sections between Csorna-nyugat and Sopron-kelet (2020), Sopron-kelet – Balf and Balf – Fertőrákos (2021) and the last stretch to the border with the 780 m Sopron tunnel (2024). Lengths come from the hu.wikipedia section table; contract values are net of VAT and are tender results unless the lot says otherwise. The Kóny – Csorna-dél lot includes the stretch shared with the M86.

| Győr (M1) – Enese (Rábapatona) Km 0+000–6+800 of the M85, from the M1 junction at Győr to the start of the Enese bypass. Opened on 16 June 2015 together with the Enese bypass and the Enese – Kóny stretch as a continuous 16 km section. hu.wikipedia says the works include about 2.0 km of four-laning of road 1 between road 1 and the M1. The tender for the Csorna I, Csorna – Enese and Enese – Győr sections was published on 2 January 2013 and works began in June 2013, by the CC M85 I. Konzorcium and MK Csorna Konzorcium; no contract value is given. The drawn line is 7.36 km because OpenStreetMap places the lot end at the Rábapatona junction. | Opened | 7 km |

| Enese bypass (km 6+800–13+800) First part of the M85 to open: a 7 km bypass of Enese, km 6+800–13+800, opened on 21 December 2011. Works began on 20 July 2009. The opening was delayed by supplementary archaeological excavation. In the last two months of construction the bypass was closed and traffic was diverted onto road 85 through the village. Joined to the rest of the Győr – Kóny section on 16 June 2015. OpenStreetMap has no junction at km 13+800, so the cut with the next lot is placed on the drawn line by calibration and the drawn length differs from the sourced one. | Opened | 7 km |

| Enese bypass – Kóny (km 13+800–16+100) Km 13+800–16+100, from the end of the Enese bypass to the Kóny junction. Opened on 16 June 2015 as the last part of the Győr – Kóny section. The tender was published on 2 January 2013 and works began in June 2013; no contract value is given. The length is from the hu.wikipedia section table. The drawn line is shorter because the cut with the Enese bypass lot at km 13+800 is placed by calibration. | Opened | 2 km |

| Kóny – Csorna (bypass, phase I) – Csorna-dél Km 16+100–27+100, from Kóny to the Csorna-dél junction, including the first phase of the Csorna bypass. Opened on 9 September 2015, which brought the M85 to 27.1 km. The stretch includes the section shared with the M86 (km 22+890–26+403 of the M85), which is not split out here; a future M86 file must mark its copy of this 3.508 km with sharedWith so the network totals count it once. The hu.wikipedia section table lists the stretch in four rows of 4.7, 2.09, 3.508 and 1.754 km. The tender was published on 2 January 2013 and works began in June 2013, by the CC M85 I. Konzorcium and MK Csorna Konzorcium; no contract value is given. Length measured from OpenStreetMap geometry. | Opened | 11 km |

| Csorna bypass, phase II (Csorna-dél – Csorna-nyugat) Km 27+100–31+550 (the hu.wikipedia text gives 4.5 km, 27+100–31+855), from Csorna-dél to Csorna-nyugat, near Jobaháza. Opened on 15 December 2017. The tender was won on 14 April 2016 by the ST-M85-II konzorcium (STR Építő Kft., TRSZ Kft.); works ran from 19 May 2016 for a net HUF 13.845 billion, according to hu.wikipedia. It links the 2015 bypass to the road to Farád and relieves road 85. The drawn line is about 1 km longer than the sourced figure. | Opened | 4 km |

| Csorna-nyugat – Fertőendréd (Fertőd) First of three contract sections of Csorna-nyugat – Sopron-kelet (51.05 km), opened on Wednesday 16 December 2020, before the contractual deadline. Strabag Építő Kft., Strabag AG and Belfry PE Kft. built 20.05 km. The value is the winning bid in the evaluation summary reported in December 2017, net of VAT; hu.wikipedia dates the announcement to 1 December 2017. No signed contract value was found. Designers: BIMLAB Mérnökiroda Kft., FŐMTERV Zrt. and UTIBER Közúti Beruházó Kft. | Opened | 20 km |

| Fertőendréd (Fertőd) – Nagylózs Second contract section, 15.6 km from the Fertőd-Endrédmajor junction to Nagylózs, opened on 16 December 2020. Built by EuroAszfalt Kft., Swietelsky Magyarország Kft. and Betonútépítő Zrt. The value is the winning bid in the evaluation summary reported in December 2017, net of VAT; no signed contract value was found. OpenStreetMap has no junction at Nagylózs, so the end is placed 15.6 km along the drawn line from the Fertőd junction. | Opened | 16 km |

| Nagylózs – Sopron-kelet Third contract section, 15.4 km from Nagylózs to the Sopron-kelet junction, opened on 16 December 2020. Built by Dömper Kft. and Subterra-Raab Kft. The value is the winning bid in the evaluation summary reported in December 2017, net of VAT; no signed contract value was found. The contractor moved onto the site at Sopron-kelet on 26 February 2018 and the foundation-stone ceremony was held on 6 March 2018. The drawn line is shorter than the sourced length because the start at Nagylózs is placed by calibration. | Opened | 15 km |

| Sopron-kelet – Balf Km 82+600–85+100, 2.5 km from Sopron-kelet to the Balf junction, opened on Wednesday 9 June 2021. It is the first part of the fourth contract section, Sopron-kelet – Fertőrákos (6.4 km), built by Dömper Kft. and Subterra-Raab Kft. as the DS Konzorcium. The contract value of the whole section is recorded on the next lot, Balf – Fertőrákos. | Opened | 3 km |

| Balf – Fertőrákos Km 85+100–89+000, 3.9 km from the Balf junction to Fertőrákos. Opening was held back until the new Mély út link in Sopron was ready, so the carriageway toward Fertőrákos was first opened with one lane at 60 km/h from 14 June 2021, and the other carriageway with a speed limit from 22 July 2021. The final opening was on 10 December 2021. The contract for the whole Sopron-kelet – Fertőrákos section (6.4 km, also covering the previous lot) was bid at HUF 17.7 billion net in 2017 and is stated as HUF 20.4 billion net in the June 2021 release, which also says the section had to be supplemented with the Mély út link and other works. The value is recorded on this lot only. Financed from domestic funds. | Opened | 4 km |

| Fertőrákos – Sopron (Austrian border), incl. Sopron tunnel Km 89+000–93+119, from the Fertőrákos junction through the 780 m Sopron tunnel under the Bécsi-domb to the end at road 84 near the Austrian border. Opened on 14 December 2024; the main hu.wikipedia text gives 17 December, citing a 444.hu article whose address is dated 14 December, while the tunnel article and the section table give 14 December. The contract, announced on 11 June 2019 at net HUF 49.9 billion, went to the consortium of Dömper Kft., Pannon-Doprastav Kft. and Subterra-Raab Kft. It covers 3.95 km of 2x2 road, the tunnel, two road bridges, a 725 m temporary link to road 84, the 3.6 km north-west bypass of Sopron and the renovation of road 84 to the border crossing, so it is not the cost of this lot alone. The lead of the source article quotes about HUF 43.9 billion for the project. Excavation of the tunnel began on 26 October 2020. The OpenStreetMap line is about 0.5 km longer than the sourced length. | Opened | 4 km |
