A1 Bucharest–Nădlac Motorway
Romania's main east–west motorway, from Bucharest through Pitești, Sibiu, Deva, Timișoara and Arad to the Hungarian border at Nădlac (Pan-European Corridor IV). The Bucharest–Pitești section (1972) was Romania's first motorway; the last gap, through the Carpathians between Pitești and Sibiu, is under construction.
