Romanian road tunnels
Romania's notable road tunnels. The country had almost no motorway tunnels until the 2020s: the Carpathian crossings now under construction on the A1 (Pitești–Sibiu), A3 (Transylvania) and A8 (Unirii) are adding the first significant ones. The Meseș tunnel on the A3 will be the longest road tunnel in Romania at 2.7 km. Lengths here are measured from OpenStreetMap geometry of a single bore.
