A7 Motorway (Moldavia Motorway)

Partially built motorway that will link Ploiești (A3) to the Ukrainian border at Siret via Buzău, Focșani, Bacău, Roman, Pașcani and Suceava, partly along Pan-European Corridor IX. As of December 2025, 211.9 km are open (Dumbrava–Adjud and the Bacău bypass), 185.3 km are under construction (Adjud–Suceava) and the 56.1 km Suceava–Siret section is tendered, out of 453.3 km planned. The Pașcani–Siret section is to be co-financed from EU funds, while Ploiești–Pașcani is to be financed through the Romanian PNRR (Next Generation EU).

Suceava – Siret (Ukrainian border)

Tendered in three lots totalling 55.7 km: Suceava – Dărmănești (18.6 km), Dărmănești – Bălcăuți (24.5 km) and Bălcăuți – Vama Siret (12.7 km). Lots 1 and 2 were signed in May 2026, but the court annulled their award on 18 September 2026 and the offers go back to evaluation; lot 3 is still in tender. The listed builders are the association that won all three lots before the ruling. Libertatea's July 2026 motorway map, relaying 130km.ro, puts the Suceava–Siret opening in 2029. This is a press forecast, not an official date. North of Milișăuți (Rădăuți) the road is planned as an expressway to the border.
