Focșani – Brăila Expressway

73.5 km expressway planned across the Siret plain between the A7 Moldavia Motorway at Focșani and Brăila, connecting Moldavia to the Brăila Danube bridge, the Brăila–Galați expressway and onwards to Tulcea and Constanța. CNIR issued the start order on 14 November 2025 for a 4.29 billion lei design-and-build contract with the SA&PE Construct – Spedition UMB – Tehnostrade – Arcada consortium, running 42 months (6 for design, 36 for works). As of mid-2026 the project was in the technical-design and permitting stage, with works expected to start in autumn 2026 and completion targeted for the end of 2029.
