R1 expressway (Trnava – Nitra – Žiar nad Hronom – Zvolen – Banská Bystrica)

Expressway from Trnava through Nitra, Žiar nad Hronom and Zvolen to Banská Bystrica, with a 3.04 km extension towards Slovenská Ľupča under construction. sk.wikipedia counts 177.1 km in operation of 270.5 km planned. Sections opened from 1975 to 2012, many first as half profile on the former roads I/51 and I/66. Nitra západ – Tekovské Nemce and the Banská Bystrica northern bypass (opened 2011 and 2012) are a public-private partnership: GRANVIA, a.s. holds the 30-year concession and Granvia Construction a.s. built them. Pre-2009 costs are in SKK and the concession payments are not construction costs, so no older figures are recorded. The R1A branch into Nitra and the planned sections are not included. Lengths are the sourced ones; drawn lengths come from OpenStreetMap.

Trnava – Sereď západ

Length is the 13.1 km of the sk.wikipedia section table, which says the whole Trnava – Sereď section was opened on 15 July 2000. Historiadialnic.sk dates the 6.775 km Trnava D1 – Sereď part, started in November 1997. Drawn line runs from the Trnava-sever exit, where the OSM expressway begins, to the Sládkovičovo junction (13.6 km), taken as the table's Sereď-západ because the table's section lengths add up to it from Báb.

Sereď západ – Pata (Dolná Streda, Šoporňa)

Three sk.wikipedia sections (2.4 + 4.5 + 1.5 km) built first as half profile and completed in 1998. Historiadialnic.sk dates the second carriageway of Sereď – Šoporňa (6.795 km) from 26 March 1997 and its opening to 1998 without a day. Drawn line runs from the Sládkovičovo junction to the Šoporňa junction, which OSM signs for Pata (8.5 km).

Tekovské Nemce – Hronský Beňadik

Length and dates from historiadialnic.sk. The sk.wikipedia table gives 7.1 km for this section (2004 start, 2005 opening); the sourced 2.772 km is kept and matches the 2.9 km drawn between the end of the PPP lot and the Hronský Beňadik junction.

Hronský Beňadik – Nová Baňa – Rudno nad Hronom

Sum of three historiadialnic.sk sections: Hronský Beňadik – Nová Baňa 4.363 km, Nová Baňa bypass 5.303 km and Nová Baňa – Rudno nad Hronom 3.225 km. Doprastav, a.s. built the Nová Baňa bypass (sk.wikipedia); builders of the other two parts are not named. Rudno nad Hronom has no junction, so the drawn end is cut 5.485 km before the Žarnovica junction.

Šášovské Podhradie – Budča

Built in the 1980s on the line of the former first-class road (sk.wikipedia); only years are given. Includes the Hronská Breznica and Hronská Dúbrava junctions. The next lot is 2.885 km long and no OSM junction fits that distance back from Kováčová, so the drawn end is placed by the sourced length, before the Zvolen-Stráže junction (15.9 km drawn). OSM has a Budča junction about 3.5 km earlier, which does not fit the sourced lengths.

Length 5.14 km from historiadialnic.sk (sk.wikipedia table 5.6 km). The drawn line is 4.9 km, 5% shorter. It runs past the Banská Bystrica-východ junction along the OSM motorway and single-carriageway R1 ways to the start of the extension under construction, where sk.wikipedia lists a temporary connection to road I/66; the sourced length is kept. Concession lot: GRANVIA, a.s. is the concessionaire and Granvia Construction a.s. (Eurovia CS group) designed and built it; Granvia Operation, s.r.o. (Vinci Concessions) operates it (MDV PPP page). The concessionaire's site says main works began on 1 September 2009; the 28 August 2009 start is historiadialnic.sk's. Concession payments are not a construction cost and are not recorded.

Banská Bystrica – Slovenská Ľupča, I. etapa (to Šalková)

3040 m extension of the R1 east of Banská Bystrica with the Šalková junction, a new bridge over the Hron and a relocation of road I/66. The award date is that of the NDS press release on the contract; the signing day itself was not found. The recorded start is the foundation-stone ceremony of 23 April 2024; the sources give no earlier site-work date. The tender expected a 960-day build. sk.wikipedia tabulates a contractual end of November 2026 and an opening in December 2028 and cites TASR of 23 November 2025 on NDS reporting problems with utility relocations; no official opening date was found, so none is recorded. Drawn from OSM construction ways (2.8 km, 8% shorter); a short stretch is drawn on the opposite carriageway where OSM lacks the other, and it starts where the drawn northern bypass ends.
