Vinkovci – Vukovar and Vinkovci – Tovarnik railway upgrades

Renovation of the single-track line, with Vukovar-Borovo Naselje and Vukovar stations rebuilt, the Nuštar and Bršadin-Lipovača stops rebuilt, nine level crossings modernised, a new Bobotski kanal bridge and a renovated Vuka bridge. The works contract (EUR 49.9 million, signed 20 December 2019), the grant agreement (EUR 89.9 million) and the eligible costs (EUR 68.5 million) are different figures: the grant agreement also covers project management, publicity, supervision (EUR 1.7 million, signed 14 March 2019 with RUBICON ENGINEERING EAD and SPC ENGINEERING EOOD), reserves and land. The grant implementation period runs from March 2016 to December 2024. Voltage of 25 kV was permanently switched on in the contact line on 15 April 2024. At the completion ceremony on 18 December 2024 the minister described a EUR 61 million project with 18.71 km of renovated track; the opening date recorded is the ceremony, as the page gives no separate first-train date. Construction start is not stated on the project pages. The drawn OpenStreetMap length is slightly shorter than the sourced 18.7 km, which is kept.

Rehabilitation of the double-track line on Corridor X from Vinkovci to Tovarnik and the Serbian border: 67 km of track renewed for 22.5 t axle load and 160 km/h (previously 50 km/h), with ETCS signalling, seven stops modernised, the Jankovci and Đeletovci stations rebuilt and two new stops built. The project had two parts: civil works by Salcef Construzioni Edili e Ferroviarie S.p.A. of Rome (EUR 41,766,847.33) and the signalling and traffic-control system by Bombardier Transportation Italy with SITE S.p.A. (EUR 16,411,114.98). Supervision by TYPSA cost EUR 2,005,000. The page gives the completion ceremony date but no contract signing or construction start dates.
