Fetești–Cernavodă bridges (A2 / CFR line 800)
Pair of combined road-and-rail bridges carrying the A2 motorway and the double-track Bucharest–Constanța railway over the Borcea branch and the Danube between Fetești and Cernavodă, built alongside Anghel Saligny's 1895 crossing. Designed by IPTANA București under engineer Vasile Cănuță and built by CCCF București, they were inaugurated on 21 November 1987 together with the first, 17 km section of the A2. More than 300 structural cracks found in 2014 forced a long closure; the rehabilitation was accepted on 12 July 2018. The Cernavodă bridge carries the only remaining toll on the Romanian motorway network.
