Bucharest Metro Line M2 (Pipera – Tudor Arghezi)
The north to south line through the centre of Bucharest, and the busiest on the network with 52.5 million passengers in 2023. It opened in two steps, Piața Unirii to Depoul I.M.G.B. in January 1986 and Piața Unirii to Pipera in October 1987, with Piața Romană inserted in 1988 after having been dropped from the plan. Metrorex records 20.28 km and 15 stations. The one later addition is the surface extension to Tudor Arghezi, opened on 15 November 2023.
